Today’s 97.5 Adoptable P.A.W.

When Mr. Boo was rescued by our Field Services team, he was in rough shape. His ears were dirty on the inside and scabbed on the outside. His fur was patchy and likely scratched off due to a flea allergy. He smelled of urine and infection, and his body was completely covered in Lysol. People had not been kind to the 6-year-old cat.

It’s been over 100 days since then, but Mr. Boo still remembers. He’s not quick to give his heart to a new person and isn’t the type to snuggle, but Mr. Boo is a quiet, inquisitive soul who is worth the time and effort to earn his trust. Still cautious around hands (unless they have treats in them), Mr. Boo shows his affection and appreciation in other ways. It’s in the quiet moments he watches his person enjoying their hobbies and how he sometimes nudges a foot left dangling off a couch.

Mostly Mr. Boo just wants to nap and observe the world around him, but sometimes a little playfulness comes over him! He’s a big fan of lasers and of batting the tails of toy mice. Despite the chaos of his previous life, Mr. Boo has perfect litter box habits and will make a great companion for a cat-savvy home.

Mr. Boo is a guy who values his personal space as well as his peace and quiet. He’ll need a calm home with someone who will give him several weeks to decompress and adjust. He’s been through a lot, and he’ll eventually feel settled. Please just let him adapt at his own pace.

: Mr. Boo will swat (without claws) when he’s overstimulated, and he really values his personal space. For these reasons, a home with older, cat-savvy children is recommended. No small children for Mr. Boo please.
